February & March

Dear Sisters,

It is hard to believe we are already one month into the new year. First and foremost, let me thank our 2nd Vice President, Adri, for answering the call of sisterly love by standing in for me for the last two meetings. She did an outstanding job. Please keep our 1st Vice President Sandy Duncan and her husband Gene in your prayers as Gene begins dialysis. Many thanks are in order. Thank you to Pat Giertych and her committee for making the Christmas party such a joy to attend. Thank you Sandy Duncan and Carol Horning for seeing to it that the basket raffle was a huge success and to all the ladies who bought and sold tickets. Thank you to Deacon Eldon Vignery for drawing the winning tickets and thank you Barbara Smith for delivering prizes. It is always such a joy to know that so many come together to make happy occasions even happier. Thank you to Pat Giertych and her committee for the difficult task of choosing our "Woman of the Year". Congratulation to Mary Perry, Our Woman of the Year. At the Deanery Meeting in Willows on Thursday, Feb. 19th, Mary will be in contention for the Marysville Deanery Woman of the Year. Good Luck, Mary.

We have a busy year ahead. The Official visit is coming, and so is the fashion show. Convention 2010 is in the works. I am excited! I hope you are too!

Our Past Grand President Pat Fontana spoke with the RCIA Class about Young Ladies Institute. Thank you to Diane Gellerson and Lucille Berg for making goodies. A special thanks to Lucille for coming and helping on the day. Brochures and applications were passed out after the presentation.
