President’s Message

Dear Sisters,
Well, winter is slowly creeping up on us and soon we will be blessed with another Christmas, amongst family and friends. May the Lord keep all who travel safe and secure. Thank you to Carol Horning and June McJunkin for the Martyrium. Your hard work showed and I am certain all who attended enjoyed the experience and appreciate the respect paid to our deceased members. Thank you to Jennifer Martinez, Grace DeLise, Sandy Duncan, Cory Ubaldo and Winnie Owen for all the hard work on the District Deputy official visit. The food was yummy and the sisterly love was felt all around. Thank you to all the ladies who have sold See's Candy, raffle tickets and participated in the boutique. You all make me proud. May we continue to pray our rosaries. Please plan to attend the Christmas Party on December 2nd. Bring a friend and enjoy. Merry Christmas!

In Sisterly Love,

Nita

...Community Outreach...

YLI has been very supportive in donating items to The Fountains for Bingo prizes. Items are needed for all occasions. Ladies, please continue to keep those toiletry items for Casa de Esperanza. You may bring items to the meeting or call Sue West.

...District Deputy Official Visit...

The District Deputy's Official visit on Nov. 8th was a huge success. Forty (40) sisters attended. Five (5) were Esther's companions from Woodland; five (5) companions of our Institute Deputy from Grass Valley; and two (2) were from St. Francis #48 in Sacramento. We had minestrone soup with French bread and chocolate for dessert. Esther expressed her gratitude for attending the Martyrium. Honoring the memory of our deceased sisters is important to her. A heartfelt thanks to my committee members: Jan Casey (shopping for gift), Grace DeLise and Sandy Duncan (cooking), Catherine Haynes (corsage), Carol Horning (invitations, decoration, and chocolate), and Winnie Owen and Cory Ubaldo (decorating and setup).
