Walk for Life 2005
On Saturday, April 30 our parish participated in the annual Walk for Life, to raise funds to support A Woman's Friend Pregnancy Resource Center and Medical Clinic. The annual event is held at Ellis Lake in Marysville, just over the bridge from our Church. Chantel Simpson was our parish's coordinator and she is to be commended for a GREAT job with this very special ministry.

| We had 25 official walkers with sponsors, but there were a number of others who were independent walkers without sponsors! | The guesstimate is that over 40 parishioners participated! |

There
were 356 official sponsors from our parish, but again there were a number
of parishioners who made anonymous sponsorship donations!

The
total amount of pledges to A Woman's Friend was over $78,000 and we
at St. Isidore contributed nearly $5,5000 of this total! The highest
in our continuing history of participation in this event!

| We thank everyone who pledged their sponsorships, everyone who walked and came to the event. We also thank those who helped with the Mass announcements, worked the sign up table and Jim & Diane Walsh for their help closing down our participation that afternoon. But most of all we wish to thank Chantel Simpson for being our team coordinator. She truly helped our participation in this ministry to aid the children, mothers and fathers who are helped by A Woman's friend. Thank you All!! | |
