Scripture of Prayer Group
"Whenever two or three are gathered in My name, I will be in the midst of them."
These words of Jesus really apply to our Prayer Group. We are a very small group who gather together to worship and praise the Lord with song and prayers. We pray for our special needs, the needs of our friends and family, our parish, and whoever comes to us with special requests.
The Scripture of Prayer Group meets on Wednesday nights 6:30-8 p.m. in the School Chapel. A core group of ten people gathers at each meeting with weekly attendance ranging from 6-18 participants. We spend a half hour reading a portion of the Scripture, using "God's Word Today" as our guide, followed by one hour in praise and worship, and singing with prerecorded songs of praise. We close our meeting with the very powerful prayer, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and our own individual favorite prayers.
Come and join us anytime. No one need attend every Wednesday - just whenever you can. We would love to have you with us.
