St. Isidore School
Soccer Field

Our School's Multipurpose Soccer Field has been completed!

After a campaign in the Spring and Summer of 2002 to renovate our school's soccer field into a multipurpose, baseball, track and soccer playing field, we have achieved our goal. Joe Saavedra headed up the project and our children have a now have a exceptional field. See the pictures below.

Under the direction of volunteer Joe Saavedra our school's multi-use Soccer Field has come to fruition. Over the spring and summer, Joe secured a cadre of volunteers from our parish community to help construct the school's soccer field. Aiding Joe with talent and funds was our Knights of Columbus. Below are pictures from the days when field trenching and piping irrigation system was laid, the disking of the field, leveling, watering and seeding, backstop construction and installation of the soccer goals.

At the end of Year 2002 Joe pass along these words: "I want to thank every one who has donated Time, Talent , and Treasure towards our beautiful field. We ended up with new soccer goals, a baseball backstop with aluminum player benches, and with 2 sets of bleachers. The portable bleachers will be placed out on the field this coming spring. Many hands make light work. We had 20 donors of Time - 22 donors of Talent - 69 donors of Treasure. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thanks again."

The Field is now open for play. What follows is a pictorial history of our St. Isidore School kids and our volunteers!
