Fr. McElwee Rose Garden and Mural
This mural is painted on the southside of the school chapel, across from the school office. Local artist Irene Matson captured the atmosphere of a garden wall bordering the Fr. McElwee Memorial Rose Garden (our first pastor at St. Isidore and instrumental in the founding of Holy Angels School, now St. Isidore Catholic School). The mural invites you to walk down the path to the distant vineyards. This picture was taken before the renovations to build the memorial, but the pictures below note the progress and completion in 2004 - 2005.
