Memorial to the Unborn
The Knights of Columbus are committed to protecting and honoring the sanctity of human life. An activity in pursuit of this goal by Knights across the nation is the establishment of Memorials to the Unborn. St. Isidore's Knights have established one for parishioners of and visitors to St. Isidore's. This memorial was designed and constructed with materials and labor provided by St. Isidore's Knights, parish members and local businesses. The formal dedication was held on May 12, 2000. Below are a series of pictures of St. Isidore's Memorial to the Unborn.
The memorial is located by the grove between the church and the rectory. Prayer for the Helpless Unborn Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil those helpless little ones whom You have given the gift of life. Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood. Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image - as well as theirs - made for eternal life. Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that mother alone can give. We ask this through Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen. For more information about the Memorial or how to obtain a remembrance stone at the memorial honoring a loved one, please contact Ralph Michel (Email link below and please include your daytime phone number).
