St.
Isidore Nativity Display
Thanks to the efforts of the Italian Catholic Federation of our St. Isidore Parish, a campaign to establish a new Nativity Display for our renovated Church and Sanctuary has been quite successful. It began with help of parishioner Frances Lutz who is also an artist. She provided exceptional artwork which various parishioners purchased to establish seed money. Over $5,000 became available through this effor and we were able to purchase the Holy family, comprised of the baby Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph. The statues were created by the House of Fontanini.
This initial effort led to a subsequent campaign just a couple of weeks later, to which parishioners quickly responded. Many took advantage of the opportunity to individually purchase additional Fontanini statues and/or contribute to a fund for this purpose. As of December 1, 2004 we have 17 pieces for our new Nativity Display. The Display will be set up the weekend of December 19.
Below are some pictures of the Holy Family and members of the Italian Catholic Federation. Also provided is a listing of those special parishioners who selected and provided individual Fontanini nativity statues. Thank you all and may God bless our holy family assemblage.
