| Through this outreach program, our parish is helping provide a “hot” meal three times a week to the homeless that live at the River Bottoms. In addition to the wonderful soups, stews and sandwiches that our parishioners have been preparing, there are other items that would be of immense help. We are looking for donations of gift cards from Food Max, Walmart and Winco. In addition to the gift cards, there is a need for tents, blankets, sleeping bags, tarps, small portable charcoal barbeques, toiletries, feminine hygiene products, empty coffee cans, and plastic containers with lids. If you would like to donate any of these items, please contact homelessoutreach@stisidore-yubacity.org or call the parish office at 530-673-1573 | The Food Locker has expanded its ministry to include a new Homeless Outreach ministry. We are coordinating hot meals for the homeless which are being served by Jim Leonard from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. We are also collecting donations of items needed by those we are serving. Each month we will collect an item needed for the ministry. To start for June, we are collecting plastic containers with lids, and empty coffee cans. These can be put in the food locker box in the vestibule along with the Can-a-Week donations. Liz Bell |
