Fr. Soria's Thanksgiving Celebration
May 20, 2005

On May 20, 2005 St. Isidore Parish celebrated Mass and had a dinner reception in honor of our pastor, Rev. Manuel B. Soria, who leaves our parish on May 31, 2005. The Mass was concelebrated with priests from neighboring parishes and some who were former Deacons at St. Isidore. The dinner reception included presentations and acknowledgments from local civil authorities and representatives of parish ministries. The pictures below are a visual history of this event. Also included on this page are links to a media presentation of the Fr. Soria Movie, a photo documentary from the parish's website of just a few of the milestone events, over which Fr. Soria presided. Enjoy!

A PRAYER FOR PRIESTS
Keep them, I pray Thee, dearest Lord, Keep them, for they are Thine - Thy priests whose lives burn out before Thy consecrated shrine. Keep them, for they are in the world, Though from the world apart; when earthly pleasures tempt, allure, - shelter them in Thy heart. Keep them, and comfort them in hours of loneliness and pain, when all their life of sacrifice for souls seems but in vain. Keep them, and O remember, Lord, they have no one but Thee, yet they have only human hearts, with human frailty. Keep them as spotless as the Host, that daily they caress; their every thought and word and deed, deign, dearest Lord, to bless.
