Priesthood of Christ

On October 26, 2007 Fr. Martin Ramat was ordained to the Catholic Priesthood by His Excellency, Bishop William K. Weigand, DD at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Sacramento, California.  Bishop Weigand then appointed Fr. Martin as the Parochial Vicar of St. Isidore Parish, Yuba City, California.  Fr. Martin notes in his website biographical sketch that "As a priest, I was sent to serve God in His people with love and humility bringing Christ to each one."

The musical lyrics below were composed by Ramon Aliño for Fr. Martin's first Mass. The music is by Fr. Carlo Magno. Just below these lyrics is a link so that you may listen to this recording. Enjoy!

Priesthood of Christ

There is a small voice calling in pain
From a people they are crying Your name
Is it I Lord? I come to answer You.
With all I am and all I can, I come to follow You

Take me to wherever, the light has to come to dim
Take me to your people that I may heal their pain
Take me by the hand, Lord, that I may follow You
With all I am and all I can I come to serve You, Lord

Refrain:

You are a blessing from God from heaven above
You are a song on a wing that angels love to sing
You light up the darkness for the meek and blind to see
You have been called to, called to his glory,
You have been called to the Priesthood of Christ.

When doubts and tears start reigning here in my heart
With clouds of darkness even madness to start,
I will speak my strength in you O Lord,
You’re my Shield, my Savior, my Sword, my Word
In You, I find my peace of mind
I will serve You in every single way
