Reconciliation (2) - La Reconciliación (2)
Catechesis Reconciliation or Confession is also known as the Sacrament of Love, the love of God for his children where He receives our repentance and forgives and forgets our transgressions. To understand better this sacrament, just compare it with our own experiences. When we offend somebody, we make a wound in the heart of that person. The only way to heal such a wound is going back to that person, and with humility present our repentance and ask for forgiveness. When accepted by he other person, both of us can feel the peace and joy of reconciliation! Now imagine the same moment after we have committed a sin against God. We go to Him at the confessional, the reconciliation room with humility after repentance, and with the intention of not doing it again. God receives our repentance and gives us the joy of reconciliation. Remember the words of Jesus: there is more joy in heaven when one person repents that over 99 righteous people that do not need reconciliation. Let us take this joy more frequently because many graces come along with it. God forgives all our sins… when we repent. Where there is no repentance, there cannot be forgiveness.To be continued... |
Catequesis La Reconciliación o Confesión es conocida también como el Sacramento del Amor, el amor de Dios por sus hijos cuando Él recibe nuestro arrepentimiento y perdona y olvida nuestras culpas. Para entender mejor este sacramento, comparemos con nuestra experiencia. Cuando ofendemos a alguien, le hacemos una profunda herida en el corazón. La única manera de sanar tal herida es regresando a ella y con humildad presentar nuestro arrepentimiento y pedir perdón. Cuando es aceptado por la otra persona, los dos podemos sentir la paz y alegría de la reconciliación. Ahora imagina el mismo momento después de haber cometido un pecado en contra de Dios. Vamos hacia Él en el confesionario con humildad después de arrepentirnos y con la firme intención de no volverlo a hacer. Dios recibe nuestro arrepentimiento y nos da la alegría de la reconciliación. Recordemos las palabras de Jesús: hay más alegría en el cielo por un pecador que se arrepiente, que por 99 justos que no necesitan arrepentimiento. Vivamos esta alegría más frecuentemente porque nos trae muchos dones y gracias con él. Dios perdona todos nuestros pecados cuando nos arrepentimos. Donde no hay arrepentimiento, no puede haber perdón.Continuará... |
