Reconciliation
The second Commandment of the Church says that we have to Confess our sins at least once a year during Lent or if we are to receive Holy Communion. The best time to do it is here already. Confessing our sins, but especially receiving the absolution is a great moment of Grace that reconciles us with God. Why should we wait a long time to receive God’s forgiveness?

However, to receive that Grace, we have to repent from our sins, reconcile ourselves with those we have offended, and forgive those who offended us.

The Church teaches us, and our Bishop reminds us that we need to receive worthily the Holy Communion. We have to realize that what we receive is the Most Sacred Body and Blood of Christ.

God deserves all our respect, devotion, gratitude, adoration, and our clean heart.

We have in the parish confessions Penance Service during Advent and Lent; those are our opportunities to reflect on the Word of God, examine our conscience, and confess our sins.

La Reconciliación
El Segundo Mandamiento de la Iglesia nos dice que debemos Confesarnos por lo menos una vez al año por la Cuaresma o si se ha de Comulgar. El tiempo privilegiado para hacerlo ya está aquí. La confesión de nuestros pecados, pero especialmente la absolución recibida es un gran momento de Gracia en que nos reconciliamos con Dios. ¿Por qué esperar tanto para recibir el perdón de Dios?

Sin embargo, para recibir dicha Gracia, debemos arrepentirnos de nuestros pecados, reconciliarnos con quienes hemos ofendido y perdonar a quien nos ha ofendido.

La Iglesia nos enseña, y nuestro Obispo nos lo recuerda, que es necesario recibir dignamente la Sagrada Comunión. Debemos darnos cuenta que lo que recibimos es el Sacratísimo Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo.

Dios se merece todo nuestro respeto, devoción, gratitud, adoración y nuestro corazón limpio.
