The Eucharist - La Comunión
Catechesis This Sacrament is the most important of the seven sacraments once a person is Baptized. Eucharist is the center of the Christian life. Everything in our lives should lead us to the Eucharist, and at the same time, everything in our life flows from it. At Sunday Mass we come to give thanks to God for the many blessings received during the past week. We ask for forgiveness from all the faults committed during those same days. We praise and glorify Him throughout the whole celebration with our prayers and songs. We offer the greatest of the sacrifices to God the Father at the time of the Consecration when we present bread and wine to be transformed into the Most Sacred Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then we receive Holy Communion, the sign of unity among Christians all over the world, and also the source of faith, peace, forgiveness, love, and strength to avoid sin. The celebration ends with the sending forward to live this Eucharist in our daily life at home, work, and leisure. Coming to Church every Sunday is our way to prove that we really love God above all things. If anything or any activity diverts us from coming to Church…avoid it, or just postpone it for another moment until after we come back from Church. Have a blessed Sunday!To be continued... |
Catequesis Este es el Sacramento más importante de los siete una vez que la persona ha sido Bautizada. La Eucaristía es el centro de la vida cristiana. Toda actividad en nuestra vida nos debe llevar a la Eucaristía, y al mismo tiempo todo fluye de ella. En la Misa del domingo damos gracias a Dios por las muchas bendiciones recibidas durante la semana anterior. Pedimos perdón por las faltas cometidas en esos mismos días. Alabamos y glorificamos a Dios durante toda la celebración con nuestros rezos y cantos. Ofrecemos a Dios Padre el más grande de los sacrificios durante la Consagración al presentar pan y vino para ser transformado en el Santísimo Cuerpo y Sangre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Luego recibimos la Sagrada Comunión, el signo de unidad entre los cristianos del mundo entero, además de ser la fuete de fe, de paz, de perdón, de amor y fortaleza para evitar el pecado. La celebración termina con el envío para vivir la Eucaristía en nuestra vida diaria en casa, trabajo y diversión. Ir a Misa cada domingo es nuestra manera de probar que de verdad amamos a Dios sobre todas las cosas. Si hay algo o alguna actividad que no nos deja ir a Misa… evítalo, o posponlo para después de la Misa. ¡Que tengan buen día! Continuará... |
