Catechesis The day of Baptism, the baby receives the Holy Spirit and is transformed in a new creature, a child of God. The day of the Confirmation, the person again receives the Holy Spirit but now as a personal option to be confirmed in the Catholic Faith. In addition, this Sacraments makes us soldiers of Christ. This means that we have the grace and strength to defend our faith and our Church. For this reason, the preparation is very important. We require two years of catechesis to deepen the knowledge of the doctrine of the Church. It is even more important to participate at Mass every single weekend, either Saturday evening or Sunday. It is in the celebration of the Eucharist that our life as Christians makes sense, and where we receive the nourishment for our spirit that keeps in us the Grace of God the Father, the love and peace of Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. We have to continually renew this commitment that was made on the day of our Confirmation, in order to maintain the flame of the Holy Spirit burning bright within our hearts and seen through our actions.To be continued... |
Catequesis El día del Bautismo, el bebé recibe el Espíritu Santo y es transformado en una nueva criatura, en hijo de Dios. El día de la Confirmación, la persona recibe una vez más el Espíritu Santo pero ahora como un opción personal para ser confirmado en la Fe Cristiana. Además, este Sacramento nos hace soldados de Cristo. Esto significa que obtenemos la gracia y fortaleza para defender nuestra fe y nuestra Iglesia. Por esta razón, es muy importante la preparación. Se requieren dos años de catequesis para profundizar en el conocimiento de la doctrina de la Iglesia. Y aún más importante es la participación en Misa cada fin de semana, ya sea sábado por la noche o domingo. Es en la celebración de la Eucaristía que nuestra vida como cristianos toma sentido, y dónde recibimos la fortaleza para nuestro espíritu que nos mantiene en la Gracia de Dios Padre, el amor y la paz de Cristo y la comunión del Espíritu Santo. Debemos renovar continuamente nuestro compromiso hecho el día de la Confirmación para mantener encendida la llama en nuestro corazón y vista a través de nuestras acciones.Continuará... |
