The Baptism (7) - El Bautismo (7)
Catechesis The baby at this point has been received in the Church, baptized, and reinforced in the Faith. The concluding rite comes when the whole assembly prays as one family the prayer that Jesus taught us, namely, the Our Father that together with the Eucharist makes us one with the rest of the Christians in the world. At the end of the celebration of every other Sacrament, there is a blessing; not here in the Baptism. There are three special blessing. The first one is for the mothers of the baptized thanking God for the gift of life and asking the Grace to walk together with their children in the Faith. The second one is for the fathers asking God to help them to be always a good example for their children with their wives. The last blessing is for the godparents and the rest of the faithful gathered for the Baptism, asking God to bless and help them to be witnesses of this Faith in our world today. Is important for us to participate in the Baptism even though none of the children is known to us because Baptism is our opportunity to be renewed in our trust in God, our hope in Eternal Life, and our joy to face this difficult life.To be continued... |
Catequesis A este momento, el bebé ha sido recibido en la Iglesia, bautizado y reforzado en la Fe. Es el momento del rito de Conclusión cuando toda la asamblea reza como una familia la oración que Jesús nos enseñó: el Padre Nuestro que junto con la Eucaristía nos hace uno con el resto de los Cristianos en el mundo. Al final de la celebración de los demás Sacramentos hay una bendición; no así en el Bautismo donde hay tres bendiciones especiales. La primera es para las mamás de los bautizados agradeciendo a Dios por el regalo de la vida y pidiendo su Gracia para caminar junto con sus hijos en la Fe. La segunda es para los papás pidiendo a Dios les ayude a ser siempre el buen ejemplo para sus hijos junto con sus esposas. La última bendición es para los padrinos y los feligreses reunidos para el Bautismo pidiendo a Dios les bendiga y ayude a ser testigos de esta Fe en nuestro mundo hoy. Es importante para nosotros participar en el Bautismo, incluso cuando no conocemos a ninguno de los niños porque es nuestra oportunidad de ser renovados en nuestra confianza en Dios, nuestra esperanza en la Vida Eterna, y nuestra alegría para enfrentar esta vida difícil.Continuará... |
