Bug Safari

Vacation Bible School

From June 24 to 28, St. Isidore Parish presented Bug Safari Vacation Bible School for Kindergartners through Fifth Graders. This ambitious (and successful) enterprise was organized by Danica Bilicich as her Girl Scout Gold Award project, with Fr. Soria as her mentor. Assisting Danica were Crew Leaders (9th, 10th and 11th graders); Classroom Helpers (7th & 8th graders); Song Leaders (10th and 11th graders); and Teachers Beth Jarvis, Susan Burky, Diane Sawyer and Lisa Marris. Deacon Avram Brown was Bugbert—a major attraction for the children. Seventy children participated!

Danica, who will be a high school junior in the Fall, will run the program for another two years and is keeping an eye out for someone to take over. (If you're interested, call the parish office) Below are some pictures from the Bug Safari Album.
