Saint Vincent de Paul Society- Yuba City
St. Vincent de Paul assists those in need with food, clothing, rent and utility bills, furniture, household goods, etc. Each request for assistance is followed up with a home visit by a team of volunteers. The volunteers are the eyes, ears and hands of Jesus and are an example of his love and concern for all of our brothers and sisters. On the home visit, they gather information on the needs of the family, assess the situation, and offer assistance when appropriate. These home visits close with an invitation to prayer if the persons are open to that offer.
The society has monthly meetings on the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the SDvP building which is located behind the church on the north side. The meetings are designed to increase the spirituality of our members with a time of reflection and meditation. Members also share their experiences in helping others and there are some business items to attend to.

Please join us at the ministry fair/carnival on Sunday May 17th, as we help raise funds for St. Isidore Catholic School. We, along with other St. Isidore parish ministries, will have a booth at the carnival with information about our services and mission. There will be food, games, prizes and music for a full day of fun.
Christmas Outreach for the Homeless- Update
Thank you for your generosity. We raised over $700 at our Christmas sale. We were able to get 100 backpacks which the girl scouts filled with personal care items, socks, gloves, reusable water bottles, snacks and many other items.
Thank you to Girl Scout Troop #4095 for assembling the backpacks and helping distribute them to those attending the homeless lunch on December 26. We still have a few backpacks on hand to distribute to people who need them.
