Saint Vincent de Paul Society- Yuba City
St. Vincent de Paul assists those in need with food, clothing, rent and utility bills, furniture, household goods, etc. Each request for assistance is followed up with a home visit by a team of volunteers. The volunteers are the eyes, ears and hands of Jesus and are an example of his love and concern for all of our brothers and sisters. On the home visit, they gather information on the needs of the family, assess the situation, and offer assistance when appropriate. These home visits close with an invitation to prayer if the persons are open to that offer.
The society has monthly meetings on the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00pm in the SDvP building which is located behind the church on the north side. The meetings are designed to increase the spirituality of our members with a time of reflection and meditation. Members also share their experiences in helping others and there are some business items to attend to.

St. Vincent de Paul is organizing gift packs for the homeless in our community. With the help of our local girl scout troop we are filling backpacks with protein bars, personal care items, socks, gloves etc. We are also in need of tents, tarps, sleeping bags, blankets and anything else that will help keep everyone warm this winter. Your material and/or financial donations will help make this project a HUGE success.
We will have a table with Christmas items for sale after all masses on the weekend of Nov. 15-16th. Please stop by and make a donation or purchase a holiday item to help the homeless.
