Bishop Quinn Hall Dedication
&
Parish Ministries Christmas Season Reception

Bishop Quinn Hall

On Monday, November 29, 2010 a Dedication Ceremony was held for our refurbished old parish hall. The 'old" hall was actually our very first St. Isidore Church and its historical pictures can be seen by clicking on this link: History Photo Album.

This hall is now our Catechetical Center and is named in honor and recognition of Bishop Emeritus Rev. Francis A. Quinn. Over the years Bishop Quinn has been close to our parish community and inside the hall is a large picture of him from the late 1970's.

We were blessed to have Bishop Quinn dedicate and bless our new Center.

On the Sacramento Diocese's website is informational background, part of which includes the following:
"Bishop Emeritus Francis A. Quinn served as a bishop of Sacramento from January 1980 to January 1994. His episcopate began in June 1978 as an auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

"Bishop Quinn’s tenure is remembered widely for his pastoral nature. His genuine and affable manner marked his ministry, then and now, with an enduring fondness among the masses for his kindheartedness, his outreach to the poor and vulnerable, his diplomacy, and his humility."

Rosary Ring

A special feature of the dedication ceremony was the presentation and blessing of Rosary Rings for our parish community.

Below is the video of our Dedication Ceremony that was immediately followed by the annual Christmas Season Parish Ministries' Potluck Dinner.
